Ok, i have all of this anger built up. I can't post it on other websites for fear of pissing off family members.
This is my first blog, so hang in there with me. Here we go....
Why, why, why do people think that because their mother and father decided to have children, the world owes them something? "I deserve a job, I deserve health care, I deserve to have everything handed to me!" And if I don't have, at the very least, these things it's the fault of someone else. There is no way I could or should be responsible for obtaining these things for myself. Really? Are you kidding me!? Give be a break already!!
I know someone that says she doesn't believe in God, unless, that is, something isn't being handed to her, then, oh then it's God being a bully! WHAT?!
Someone else I know, thinks that it's ok for my husbands ex-wife to sit on her butt and collect welfare and child support from not one but, two men. Both of her children are in school! Get a job!!! Now, i don't want anyone to think that I am, in anyway, opposed to her getting child support. Just thought I'd make that clear. The same person that feels this way is a fifty-something woman who lives in a house that her parents bought for her, and continue to maintain. Another "every body owes me" kind of person.
I would also like to point out, that I am not living in an ivory tower and that i do have some idea of what i'm talking about. My husband and i live with my parents right now. Not by choice mind you, but because the proverbial "times are tough". I stay at home with our daughter. There are plenty of you asking why don't I get a job. Here are the two main reasons, 1) getting a job requires daycare, that's expensive, almost cancelling out that fact that i work. 2) I would like to be the one to raise our daughter. Either way, we aren't on welfare, i am not taking your tax dollars, so what i do has no effect on your, or any body else life.
OK, as far as the health care issue is concerned, are people STUPID!? Does no one understand that if everyone gets "free" health care, it's probably going to cost them more in taxes than it would just to get insurance. I guess most of these people don't pay taxes anyway. It's going to take months and months to get into see a doctor, that is, if there are any left who want to work for free. Are people so stupid that they can't see what it's really going to do. It's just beyond me how so many people still think this is a good idea! In some countries with "free" health care, if your baby is born premature and will need some form of life support, they just let the baby die. why? Because it would be too expensive to keep it alive. Now that sounds like the kind of health care i want, don't you??
Now, as for a job. Really? Get off your ass and quit thinking that you are above working fast food. OK to be fair, i don't want to work at a fast food joint either, but if my and my child's life depended on it, hell yes I would flip burgers. So, all of a sudden you are too good to lower yourself to burger flipper status, but you aren't too good to milk the rest of the country for your low/no income housing or your food stamps? MUST BE NICE! I would much rather use my tax dollars for you to go to school of some sort so that you can become a productive member of society. But wait, then you couldn't sit around, collect welfare, and complain about not having a job. You can blame the government, or anyone else for that matter, but in the long run, you, and only you are responsible FOR YOURSELF!! It is NOT my job or responsibility to make sure that you are taken care of. grow up and think and act for yourself.
Anyway, GIVE ME A BREAK ALREADY!!
